ACCREDITATION

The 14th Congress of the International Pediatric Nephrology Association is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS). www.uems.net
The EACCME has granted the congress with the European external CME credits for medical specialists. Each participant should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in educational activity.
EACCME credits are recognised by the American Medical Association (AMA) as contributing towards Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA). To convert EACCME credits to AMA PRA category 1 credit, contact AMA.
Additionally for Hungarian participant 25 points (local) will be credited.

INSTRUCTION FOR SPEAKERS

PowerPoint or PDF presentations are accepted on CD-ROM, DVD or USB memory cards. Version MS PowerPoint 2003 is recommended. Double slide, overhead projection and use of own laptops are not permitted.

Slide Preview Desk
The Slide Preview Desk - staffed by our technicians - is available for speakers throughout the congress period and located near to the Registration Desk on the ground floor. Speakers are required to drop of their presentations at least 2 hours before their scheduled presentation time. If the presentation is scheduled early in the morning, we kindly ask the speakers to report to the Slide Preview Desk one day before.

Presentation
We kindly ask the speakers to keep the time limits given. The lecture halls are equipped with time meters and a signal will show if the time limit was overrun by the speaker.

Oral Free Communication
This is an 8 minute long presentation with a short discussion for questions from the audience. There will be no possibility to overrun the time limit.

INSTRUCTION FOR POSTER

Posters with a clearly presented heading including the title of the presentation, names of authors and their affiliation must fit the size of the poster board: 90 cm wide and 120 cm high. The letters used should be large enough to be read from a distance of 1,5 m.

Oral Poster Presentation
This is an opportunity to give a short plenary oral presentation in one of the lecture halls (for the location please refer the detailed programme) and also to present the poster at the poster exhibition (Posters on Stage).
The oral presentation must be presented by most two comprehensive slides showing the aims of the study, the main results and the final conclusion(s). There are 3 minutes to present the slides followed by a short discussion. There will be no possibility to overrun the time limit.

Poster Presentation - Posters on Stage
The poster exhibition will take place immediately following the oral poster presentations. Posters will be assessed by a poster reviewing panel while displayed for exhibition. A selection of posters will be discussed during guided poster tours chaired by experts in pediatric nephrology. Presenting author will be kindly asked to be at their poster during the session.
We kindly ask you to set the posters within the given time frame. Please note that the Organisers do not take responsibility of the posters left on the board.

Schöpf-Merey Award will be sponsored by the First Department of Pediatrics, Semmelweis University.

They will be awarded with blue ribbon at the poster stands – to attract spontaneous discussions.

All abstracts will be published in the Pediatric Nephrology Journal.
